Hand Selection Process

As an authorized Buffet dealer, Clarinet Monster Inc has the unique opportunity to hand select clarinets directly from the manufacturer at the North American Buffet distributor in Jacksonville, Florida. What this means to you, the customer, is that each new Buffet clarinet we sell has been personally inspected and play-tested by our CEO and Owner, Jeffrey Brooks. This process allows us to pick the best clarinets from the manufacturer's shipment and pass along that advantage to you. Our pre-owned instruments come from other customer's who are upgrading to newer instruments and from other sources at the discretion of Clarinet Monster. We are incredibly selective in every clarinet that we present to our customers and guarantee every clarinet stands up to the Clarinet Monster standard of excellence!  In selecting clarinets we look for the following characterstics: 
  • Best possible intonation
  • Evenness of scale
  • Rich core of sound
  • Evenness of resistance throughout registers
  • ​Resonant tone
