This R-13 was manufactured in 1968 during what is considered the "Golden Age" of Buffet's clarinet manufacturing. This particular instrument has had a single owner and sat in the gentleman's closet untouched for the last 30 years. The wood, silver plating, and logo are impeccable and the instrument has received our signature Clarinet Monster artist overhaul. The result is a fantastic vintage R-13 that looks and plays like a brand new instrument. Keep in mind that the vintage R13's had a slightly different design that makes the instrument play with a slightly more subdued and sweeter tone than a modern R13. Buffet manufactured the Vintage Model R13's for about 10 years that modeled the R13's of the 1960's. The modern Vintage R13 Model is no longer being manufactured for distribution in America as of 2016 and finding an actual 1960's vintage R13 in impeccable condition like this is exceedingly rare.
